And yet another sushi restaurant. Isao has been on my list for a while, as it’s on the way to Baan Mama and MoC. It’s always very busy in front of Isao, with people waiting and a lot of Grab drivers. So I went early (5:30 p.m.) and placed a somewhat larger order. The system was a bit confusing; you first received a QR code, which only asked for your name. Then there was a menu and then a tablet, but you couldn’t order with it. But I took a picture of everything I wanted to order and showed the list to the server ;). So there were several rolls and some side dishes. The baby octopus starter was very good. The spicy salmon maki was a bit underspiced and a bit heavy due to a bit too much mayo. The crispy roll apparently had the same filling (I wasn’t careful when ordering). The unagi roll with avocado was very tasty. The crispy salmon skin roll was also very good! I was initially unsure about the Volcano, gratinated mussels, but I ended up really enjoying it. Overall, it was quite tasty, but not as good as the Mori at Gaysorn (although the majority of Googlers seem to have a slightly different opinion). But I probably won’t repeat it.
