The Tibet Gate is located on Soi 33 and is very large, even housing something resembling a Tibetan souvenir shop. The place is otherwise very nicely decorated, and you can even dine in an ‘authentic’ Tibetan tent. The service was very friendly and explained the various dishes and asked about your preferences. I ordered pork soup and pan-fried beef dumplings. The soup was delicious and, as advertised, quite spicy. Part of the spiciness came from the whole peppercorns, which had a hint of anise 👍. The dumplings were also very tasty and well-seasoned, and they also served them with some chili oil. Unfortunately, there was no dessert—no sweats in Tibet 🤭 (but we did get some fresh durian on the way home). All in all, it was a very pleasant visit, and I can definitely recommend it (although I can’t guarantee that it’s truly authentic Tibetan 🫣).
