Doo Rae

I’ve been to Doo Rae twice. Once by myself and once with a friend. The first time, I felt like I was being sidelined, but that was understandable, as I was alone and they didn’t want to waste a large table on me (I didn’t have a BBQ there either). On the second visit, we had the Korean BBQ (there was another restaurant to choose from, but they only served it on an electric grill). We chose three types of meat (beef, tongue, and pork belly). This was accompanied by a stew that we thought was actually grilled vegetables 🙈, a steamed egg, and sweetcorn. Just like on our solo visit, we were served the complimentary sides (kimchi, seaweed, pickles, etc.). Then it was time for the beef. The meat was actually grilled more by the staff, and we weren’t given any tongs (but that’s what chopsticks are for 😇). The grill racks were constantly being replaced! Next came the tongue and the pickled pork belly. All in all, it was very tasty and a new experience. Korea Town will definitely be an option again on a longer visit!
