I also found Baan via Google (I expanded my search radius). Thanks to Google, you can find it, as it’s located in a side courtyard at the very back and barely visible from the street. The restaurant itself is a wooden building, which is traditionally Thai. You then go up the stairs. Here you have to change your shoes (or continue barefoot if necessary). There are various funny slippers to choose from (although they all look quite warm 🤭). Since I didn’t have a reservation, I got a seat outside (which I always prefer anyway). I ordered the Kehl in oyster sauce and the Seabass with red curry. To drink, I had a mango shake. The Kehl was very tasty and quite hot with the chilies in it 🔥 The Seabass was also great! The red curry sauce was a very small drawback; it was almost a bit too thick and rich (as it was coconut-based), but it tasted very delicious. If you mix it a bit with the oyster sauce, the consistency is just right. The Baan has an almost unrealistic rating of 4.8 out of almost 200 reviews 😳 The only thing holding us back from another visit is the long journey.
