The Hillary 1 is practically opposite the Novotel and is currently my last spot before bed :D. There’s live music here and you can always play a game of pool. Now that I’ve finished half the menu, it’s time for a review ;). The pizza isn’t that great (the oven is more for show, being heated by gas). But the Thai dishes are pretty good, especially the spicy salads. Funny thing here: the spicy papaya salad is the least spicy (very Farang style), but the others are really spicy (even for me 😀 ). The rules at the pool take a bit of getting used to 😉 . The live music is usually very good (for Asian cover music). There are usually three bands playing in the evening. At the moment the Hillary 1 should actually close at 2:00 a.m., but they just draw the curtains (and probably pay a bit more in bribes).
Hillary has several locations in Sukhumvit. The H2 is also on Soi 4, and there are two more on Soi 11, and they also have a different name 😉
