SO/ Vienna

The trip to Bangkok had one small flaw: we had to stay overnight in Vienna. Since I’m with AllAccor, I chose the SO/ Vienna. There were other hotels in the chain, but I wanted to stay at an SO and use one of my suite upgrades. So it was the SO with an upgrade to the 75 sq m suite. When we arrived, we got an upgrade to the Presidential Suite at 175 sq m. A ‘room’ like that is total overkill (especially for one night). You really get lost (actually, there were more like 5 or 6 rooms). We then went to the sauna, which was quite small for the size of the hotel, but with a fantastic view of Vienna at night. Another ‘disadvantage’ of the suite are the thousands of switches for the lights. Some dim, others actually turn on, and you can use them from one side of the room as well as the other. The conference room, with 20 chairs around the table, looks very impressive. The living room, with its white sofas and armchairs, also looks quite stylish. There are also plenty of places to watch TV, with three large flatscreen TVs.

To top it all off, however, the shower didn’t work in the morning. It just blinked and needed to be reset. Which, however, wasn’t possible because no one knew where the fuse box was. 😀
