Visiting Feast wasn’t really planned. I actually wanted to go to a hacker shop in the Roxy Mall, but it was already closed. Then I tried my luck at a Vietnamese restaurant, but I couldn’t get through the mobile ordering process. Another restaurant was also closed (Mondays seem to be a bit tricky). Then I went back to the hotel. There was a restaurant on the second floor, but it was also closed 🙁 I thought I’d go to bed without eating, but Feast was on the third floor and it was still open. I wasn’t entirely sure, though, because it looked more like a buffet than a menu (I think they serve the hotel breakfast here).
Okay, I ordered the laska (which I also wanted to eat at the hawker) and durian for dessert (which I thought was kind of funny, since the sign at the elevator downstairs says you’re not allowed to bring durian in). The laska wasn’t bad, just a bit much (and it gets tough on you over time). The durian looked completely different from the one on the menu, but it was still very tasty (basically mashed and served with toast). I probably won’t repeat this, though, since I’ve found a few more alternatives since then ;).
