Time to move on, after 6 weeks in BKK it’s time for a change (okay, the visa has expired too). I’m continuing on with Singapore Airlines to Singapore. The original flight was planned 2 weeks ago, but for various reasons I extended it by 2 weeks. Rebooking the flight was a bit more difficult than I thought, as APEC was ending and there were no spaces left in Economy, so I switched to Business, which meant I could go to the SQ Lounge (okay, my Gold status would have allowed that too 😉 ). The lounge is still one of the best lounges at BKK Airport and preferable to any Thai lounge (perhaps that will change after their renovations). The selection of food and drinks is excellent and of very good quality. The service from the staff is also very attentive! The only thing that might be missing is a shower, but since most guests from here don’t go on long trips, that’s easily bearable. I would definitely go back!
