Since a longer stay in BKK usually includes a visit to Din Tai Fung, I did this time too. I deviated slightly from the ordering pattern this time, as the custard buns at KL Din Tai Fung were so good. So this time I ordered three variations of steamed buns: custard again, then spicy pork, and red beans. Except for the spicy pork, the other two are more of a dessert. If you want really good gyoza in BKK, you should definitely stop by here. Din Tai Fung (no matter where in the world) is probably the best-organized restaurant. Everything is superbly coordinated, and everyone has a headset (radio). All dishes are meticulously worked through and signed off. I find the xiao long bao better here than in KL (the dough is thicker there), as is the mango pudding, which was much too solid in KL.
