Fat Brother Satay Lok-lok

Somehow the selection appealed to me, especially the octopus (it was really good at the tapas bar). So I gave it a try. I should have left, though, when the vendor tried to sell me a sweetwater shrimp as a special lobster (which was supposedly particularly cheap, which isn’t exactly obvious when you consider it a special). Okay, I also chose mussels, crocodile, mushrooms, and eggplant. Unfortunately, the octopus was dismembered beyond recognition and tough as leather. The scallops were hidden under a thick layer of garlic. The mushrooms were fried to death; they should have been grilled. The eggplant and crocodile were okay. The ‘lobster’ was actually pretty good, but it didn’t really cut it.
