Went to the Salon Alor Food Market again today (had to test out a new, quicker route through the pavilion). I searched Google for other options and came across JiLi. I’d always wanted to try the chili-covered food. I decided on the frog and cabbage. It’s funny that the cabbage was mixed with pork rinds, and that in a heavily Muslim country. But it was very tasty (similar to Thailand, but with a bit more flavor from the bacon). The frog stew was also very tasty; the only thing that was a bit annoying was the amount of bones. It’s also funny that the food is less spicy from the high amount of chili, but more from the Szechuan pepper.
