Tamnanthai is difficult to find, as it’s not visible from the street; it’s located behind a tattoo studio. But once you do, the good food makes up for the effort. The waitress (and probably the owner too) always has a few good recommendations ready, which you should follow if you don’t already have something specific in mind. This time I had the deluxe Tom Yum Goong with a large river prawn, which was absolutely delicious. Tom Yum is one of my favorite dishes, and I try it almost everywhere. Here it was with coconut as a garnish. It could have been a bit spicier, but I could have spiced it up a bit ;). The Traft beer was also very good (you can’t really go wrong with Blue Moon). For dessert, there was a small apple fritter.
