Savoey is located in Terminal 21 Asok. I actually wanted to have Pad Kra Pao, but the place was closed (more on that later). Savoey has four locations in Bangkok, and the menu looked quite promising. I ordered spicy shrimp, snakefish with tamarind, and iceberg lettuce as a vegetable (I actually thought I’d ordered cabbage, but that wasn’t the case). The crispy fish in tamarind broth was delicious. The iceberg lettuce as a vegetable, completely unexpectedly, was also super tasty. The crowning glory, however, were the spicy fried shrimp. Firstly, they were only briefly fried and not dry. The spicy mix around them was absolutely top-notch. Spicy, fresh (mint and Thai grass), sour (tamarind), and then herbs and garlic. Truly delicious Thai food, worth repeating!
