We used to go to Asia Herb quite often when we stayed at the Novotel, as it’s right across the street. But the chain didn’t reopen this branch as quickly after Covid as other shops. It’s been open again since the end of May, albeit with very limited opening hours. So I went back to see if the place is still as good as before. Inside, nothing seems to have changed. There are still rooms in various sizes, usually with more than one lounger/massage mattress. You also still get a tea beforehand and a tea of your choice when you leave. Most rooms have a shower. When you check in, you get an iPad where you enter your details and can select your preferred massage areas and strengths. Then you go to your room. I had an oil massage, and I’m not quite sure if there used to be massage tables here and if they weren’t all just taken, so I had to make do with a mattress. At first, I found the massage a bit hectic, but maybe. I was just thinking about it too much. Shortly before the end, the lady disappeared, and I thought the massage was over (a bit uncharacteristic, but good, I thought). I was already in the shower when she came back with a hot towel. She apologized (although it was my fault, too). Then came the head massage and a back massage in an upright position (as usual). The place is quite cheap compared to a P’s, but that’s just because of the space and the equipment.
