It was time for something new again: Kodungkhao. The restaurant is somewhat tucked away in the back corner. I’ve already been to various restaurants on the street. The decor is rather spartan and probably designed for a quick lunch. There are plenty of individual seats at a long counter. Orders are placed via slips of paper sorted by meat type (beef, pork, chicken, appetizers, and drinks). Once you’ve chosen your protein, you can choose whether you want it dry or with broth, the desired flavor, and even the topping. The slips are only available in Thai, but the waitress brought me a sentence in English and briefly explained the system. I opted for pork with broth, Tom Yum style. I also had an onion pizza as a starter and a lychee juice. As is almost usual, the starter came well after the main course, but hey, you get used to it. Both the soup and the starter were quite tasty. Definitely worth repeating!
