On my way to Kenya again. I’d been there a few times six years ago, but never flew directly. A cheap flight came up at short notice (three days in advance), and since I still have a bit of time before my next trip, I flew to Mombasa again. The flight is also offered by Lufthansa, but operated by Eurowings Discover. Since I’m no longer an HON, I had to make do with the Senator Lounge in Frankfurt (in A). Unfortunately, the departure airport is in C, so I had a bit of a walk and also had to go through security again :(. On the plane, I was a bit lucky and didn’t have any neighbors, so I had a bit more space to spread out. It was a night flight, but it made me realize again why I prefer business class with a recliner on long flights :D. I had meatballs and a water for dinner. In the morning, I had yogurt and an apple. I slept more or less badly 🙈 They only sell you headphones and a blanket (2 and 5 euros respectively), but hey, I didn’t need them 🤷♂️ Otherwise, the service was pretty good. I only flew with hand luggage (backpack), though.
