Now for the pleasant part of the journey in the new Singapore Suite from FRA to SIN on the A380. Since Singapore Airlines is no longer offering this flight as of the summer schedule, I had to hurry a bit 😀 The private cabin is huge for an airplane. You have your own swivel seat and a separate bed. Even though the bed in the 777 may be a bit wider, the one here is more comfortable thanks to the continuous surface. I have never slept so well on a plane (but that might also have been due to the quiet flight in the A380). The service is, as usual with Singapore, of a very high standard, both in terms of the food and the overall service. First, there were lots of Krug 😉, which I also chose for the caviar. Then there was the Johan Lager menu with soup and boiled beef, both very tasty. For breakfast, there was fruit and rice soup, also very tasty (I don’t usually eat much breakfast on airplanes).
In Singapore, I was even able to get into the Private Room again. I’d read that online; last time I was in the Gold Lounge :(. Imagine that with LH or Swiss. They asked me if I had a connecting flight, but didn’t want to see my ticket (it would have been with Thai).
So all that remains to be said is ‘There is no better way to fly!’
