For a more varied menu, we went to an Arabic restaurant this time (although they also serve Indian cuisine). The restaurant is located on Soi 2, just 100 meters away as the crow flies. However, since the hotel behind the Hillary1 is being renovated, there is currently no passageway and you have to walk completely around the outside :(. Okay, the restaurant itself has both an indoor and outdoor area, which is a good thing. I ordered an Egyptian salad, the mixed stuffed vegetables, lamb and bread (along with a mango lassi). I wasn’t quite sure what exactly is Egyptian about a mixed green salad 🙂 The stuffed vegetables were also quite good. But I reached my limits with the lamb. The green (herb) sauce was quite tasty at first. But the sauce tasted very similar to the sauce for snails (except with considerably less garlic), but it was quite cold and you quickly ‘repelled’. The whole meal was also relatively low in salt. So there probably won’t be a repeat here.
