‘The Private Room’ is something like Lufthansa’s First Class Terminal in Frankfurt. It’s the flagship lounge of Singapore Airlines. Unlike Lufthansa, however, you only get into the Private Room with a First Class ticket. Lufthansa also allows HONs into the FCT (even if they fly Economy 😀 ). The Private Room is new in Terminal 3. There’s also a separate entrance for First Class passengers at Changi Airport (let the taxi driver know so they can take the right precautions). PPS members can also use this service. You’ll receive an invitation to the Private Room upon check-in. The offering has been improved compared to the previous one. There’s now a wider selection of food and there are also relaxation rooms (and showers, of course). The quality of the food and drinks is better here than in the FCT at Lufthansa in Frankfurt. The only drawback is the air conditioning, which is set too low (but that’s typical for Asia). You also have to be careful not to get on the plane too tipsy (the staff are extremely generous with pouring drinks).
