Now a quick word about the flight itself. As mentioned before, this was with Singapore in Business. The nice thing about non-European airlines is that the Business seating doesn’t just follow the normal configuration, but actually uses a different seat. On Singapore, it’s the same as on long-haul flights, for example, when I fly FRA – SIN. The only difference is that the food selection is more limited, which is understandable. Once you’ve experienced that, you’ll just shake your head at LH or Swiss (and the other European airlines). LH/Swiss simply leaves the middle seat free in Business Class and also offers catering. This gives you so much flexibility that you can stretch or shorten Business Class as you like, depending on demand. All you do is move the dividing curtain. The seats also don’t offer any other extras, such as USB ports or entertainment (which Singapore even offers in Economy Class). This meant I was able to watch ‘Love & Thunder Thor’, which made the flight extremely entertaining. For me, Singapore is truly a 5* airline!
