The Anaconda, where should I even begin? The Anaconda has just opened and looks very stylish. You practically sit around the chefs and can watch them at work, which is actually quite great. But in this case, it’s unfortunately fatal, because you can see the complete incompetence of the team. Even the European woman in charge of quality management doesn’t help. The preparation of my sashimi was the ultimate tragedy. The fish was re-dressed dozens of times, and a small piece was always cut off. The presentation itself was top-notch (although by then the fish was lukewarm and watery). The Froie-Grah custard egg was gritty and unfortunately flavorless, and the small pieces of liver were fried to death. The ox-heart was grilled to the limit, the mushrooms smothered in a marinade. Highlights were the spicy torro maki and the Dajingo sake (although that wasn’t their fault). The waitress was more concerned with partying than serving, and they were usually laughing shrilly. Yes, it was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had in Bangkok and definitely in the top three for that. Sometimes you just have to wait for a few reviews first 😀 But maybe this way I can at least help others and prevent them from having a flop.
If you find this after mid 2024 you will be lucky. Annaconda closed and now there is a bar there (Bunny, if I remember right).
