I haven’t been to ‘The Local’ in a while (since it’s quite a distance away). The restaurant is very large, consisting of several buildings and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Since I didn’t have a reservation, I had to sit outside, which I wanted anyway, as the air conditioning is always on full blast inside. They serve authentic Thai food, which can sometimes be quite spicy (not Farang style). I ordered a crab salad and a curry with spare ribs. Both were very tasty, especially the starter with the herbs. For dessert, there was some kind of unidentifiable goo, which was also quite tasty. For drinks, there was a bluberry pear and passion fruit juice, also very tasty.
