I was kind of in the mood for a burger and fries, and since there are practically three burger joints next to each other on this street, I decided to go with the oldest, the Artisan. The restaurant is a long, smart one where you can almost always see what’s happening while the food is cooking. There are various burger varieties to choose from (including a Beyond Meat, but who wants that anyway). The current special was a double bacon burger, and I opted for it. Unfortunately, you couldn’t choose your own sauce (but you could at least swap one out). The fries were good (crispy and well-salted), the burger was great, very juicy, but unfortunately practically impossible to eat without making a mess :D. They also had an IPA.
Oh yeah, I sat down outside and watched a few people taking pizza pictures. It’s starting to get a bit weird these days, climbing onto the chairs to get a ‘top-down’ perspective. But I’ve seen them a few more times with the boxes elsewhere, too.
