I received a recommendation for the Jalon Alor Night Market. There are so many shops here, it was difficult to choose. Since I wanted to try the stingray, I opted for the Meng Kee. It wasn’t a bad choice. The stingray was very juicy, flavorful, and light on the bite. I ordered the spicy Morning Glory. It was spicy, but somehow not quite as good as I’m used to in Bangkok (maybe because it was a bit thickened). I had the durian on the way back; it was also very tasty (a different variety for a change). I’ll definitely visit the night market again; there are a few more interesting shops there.

I had actually planned something new, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find the restaurant. Due to time constraints (lunch break), I decided to repeat the experience. I even ate almost the same thing. This time, however, I had the stingray fish Portuguese style (steamed in foil) instead of grilled. The fish was actually quite tasty. Only the cut I used was a bit annoying because of the bones. Another not-so-ideal approach is steaming okra (it always creates a slime-like texture). I also had a vegetable (no idea what it was) and a coconut. All in all, it was once again very tasty.
