Radisson Blu Royal Viking

I’m slowly coming to the end of my stay in Sweden, so it’s time for a review of the hotel. I would have stayed at the Birger Jarl again, but it was fully booked. My choice of the Viking was partly due to the WiFi reviews and its proximity to the train station (which was very convenient, as I didn’t arrive until midnight). The WiFi is good, but annoyingly secured with a welcome page (even though you don’t have to enter any information). What was much more annoying, however, was that removing the room key card also seems to cut off the WiFi. At least my router always lost signal during my lunch break or in the evening when I returned from dinner. It took me two days to fix this (I then got a second key card). The room and bathroom are sufficiently large. The desk is also OK in terms of surface area, but the desk chair barely fits between my legs (as you can see from the many flaws). The underfloor heating in the bathroom is very pleasant. However, it is annoying that you can’t open the window for a quick airing (I could do that in the Birger). All in all a pleasant stay.
