Eat Thai is something like a foot corner, a collection of small shops offering dishes from various parts of Thailand. Unfortunately, COVID has left its mark here, so not all shops are open yet.
Eat Thai is located in the basement of the Central Embassy. It’s within easy walking distance, and the fact that it’s air-conditioned (not too much) is also very convenient. The many shops offer a huge selection, and there’s even a supermarket right next door.
It works like this: you get a card with a certain budget at the entrance. You can then use it to pay at the shops. You then get a coupon and a time when your order will be approximately ready. You can pick it up yourself or, if you sit down at a table, have one of the many waiters bring it to you. The food is very good, a bit more expensive than the original street food, but you get everything in one place. I come here for lunch almost every day, at least during the week.
