Burapa was also a recommendation from the Michelin Guide. It’s mid-priced, but the food is very upscale. I’ve been there five or more times now. There are a few dishes with tamarind and also with durian (although the dessert with unripe durian isn’t exactly amazing). All the starters are actually delicious, my favorite being the ceviche-style shrimp. Very spicy, with garlic and herbs. The only downside is the service; they don’t suggest rice with a curry, but they do with something that doesn’t actually have any sauce. Also, the courses are always randomly mixed up. But the food itself is too good not to go back ;).
