Even though I’d just made pizza at home (in my own pizza oven), the pictures and reviews convinced me to visit Dante. I was surprised to be the only customer at 6:00 PM (the other restaurants at the harbor were full of people). Anyway, I went in anyway. The service was very friendly and spoke good English. I ordered a pizza Loses (salmon and burrata), a Greek farmer’s salad, and the house red wine. The pizza was very good, just the way I like it. Thin base, thick, airy crust, and crispy (and most importantly, not too light). Very tasty! The only drawback to the farmer’s salad were the black olives; better ones would have been better, but only half as good as the artificially blackened ones.

As a quick addendum, after the pizza was so good, I went back. Pizza works without tomatoes, too! Delicious with ham and truffle oil.

Even though I have a pizza oven at home and don’t really eat pizza in restaurants anymore, I have to say Dante is so good that you just have to go there more often. The mortadella pizza with burrata is fantastic.
